3225 El Camino Real

Creating a sense of place was an important goal for this four-story, mixed-use project along El Camino Real, a busy arterial highway. Instead of placing all the program in one building, two buildings on the same site were proposed to create outdoor space, at grade, large enough for gatherings and outdoor dining in a sheltered environment. One building is two stories of office while the other has ground floor retail space and thee levels of residential units above. A bridge links the two buildings at the second floor.
